YWCA seeks to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. YWCA is an international organization with over 300 

2014: Milagro House

Milagro House is a not-for-profit program that provides education, housing, and counseling for women and children experiencing homelessness. Whether it is addiction, mental illness, or abuse that brings women to the shelter, Milagro House provides services to help get them back on their feet. Weekly mental health counseling, budgeting and parenting

support, supplying personal items if they cannot afford their own, job training, and a disciplined environment that promotes reponsibility and independence are all part of the support that Milagro House gives its residents until they are confident and prepared enough to gain control over their lives and make safe, healthy choices.

Special Thanks to Planned Parenthood

Alumna and V-Warrior Arissa Brown 14' now works for Planned Parenthood in Central PA! We thank her

and Planned Parenthood for coming to the 2015 show to provide educational information and safe sex supplies to our guests. Planned Parenthood provides and promotes access to essential health care services and comprehensive education. Their services include family planning and birth control, cancer screenings, testing and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, abortion care, pregnancy testing, and education. There is a clinic right here in Lancaster.

Men and boys are welcome to participate in YWCA programs and activities as allies. Some of the services offered for women and children in Lancaster are an overnight shelter, violence prevention programs, a residence program, childcare, sexual assault counseling, racial justice initiatives, and a summer STEM education program for girls 9 - 12.
